This is a super-commentary by the author on the commentary of al-šeiḫ Ḫālid al-Azharī on the text known as "al-Muqaddimah al-Ājurrūmiyyah" for the prominent scholar ibn Ājurrūm. Al-Ājurrūmiyyah is one of the most prominent texts on Arabic grammar for its simplicity, comprehensiveness, and accessible structure. It was meant to simplify the content of Arabic grammar for beginner students. Al-šeiḫ al-Qaliyūbī in his super-commentary follows the same uncomplicated style of the commentary and the original text. Al-Qaliyūbī employs pieces of evidence and examples from the Quran, prophetic traditions, poetry, and prose. He begins with al-Azharī's introduction to the Muqaddima, then the chapters on speech, syntax, and the rest of the book.
